Adding a wireless access point (Wi-Fi)

To improve wireless coverage in an area that has none — a lab, a corridor or a remote room.

  • Approx. Takes weeks
  1. Open a TMR request

Open a TMR request asking for a wireless access point. Describe the area where reception is weak or missing entirely.

  2. Site survey

Someone will come to check the existing coverage and decide where to place the access point.

  3. Receive a quote

You will get a price quote by email.

Rough cost — Around $1,000 per access point. A rough estimate only.
  4. Issue a requisition in Anant

Issue a purchase requisition in Anant based on the quote.

  5. Installation

A technician will come and mount the access point.

  6. Activation

Open another TMR request and ask to activate it. Only after this step will there be coverage.
