Activating an existing network point
There is a socket in the wall, you plugged in a cable, and nothing happens. In most cases the point simply is not activated.
Find the point number
The wall socket has an identifying number printed or stuck on it. That is what the IT department needs in order to find the point in the communications cabinet.
No number on the socket? — Photograph the socket and give the building number, room number and its exact position in the room.Open a TMR request
Open a TMR request, give the point number and its location, and ask to have it activated.
