Opening a TMR request

TMR is the IT department ticketing system. Almost every request on this site starts with a TMR ticket — worth reading once.

  • Approx. 5 min
  1. Make sure you are on the right network

This is where most people get stuck.

    • From your office or lab — a computer connected by network cable. Works.
    • From campus Wi-Fi (eduroam) — does not work.
    • From home — only through the university VPN.
  2. Sign in

Go to tmr.biu.ac.il with your Bar-Ilan username and password — the same ones you use for email and for your computer.

  3. Open the request

Open a new request and describe what you need. The more precise the details, the faster it is handled:

    • Location — building and room number.
    • Inventory number — if it concerns a specific computer, monitor or printer.
    • Anant requisition number — if you already issued one.
    • Screenshot — if it is an error.
  4. Keep the ticket number

You will get a ticket number. Keep it — you need it for any follow-up, and some processes (a new network point, for example) require a second ticket that references the first.
