Mathematica

Install from the network drive and activate with a licence key that renews yearly.

1. Windows — install

   1. Open the Programs network drive (how to reach the server).
   2. Go to Mathematica → the version you want → your operating system.
   3. Run install and follow the prompts.

2. Linux — install

   bash /mnt/biu/Mathematica/<version>/linux/Install --target /opt/Mathematica

   Press Enter to accept the default directory, and Enter again for the scripts path.

3. Activate with a licence key

   Launch Mathematica and enter the full licence key.

   Don't have a key? — The key comes from your supervisor or group head — it belongs to the research group.

4. Yearly renewal

   The key is renewed every year, usually in December. Ask your supervisor for an updated one.

5. If activation fails

   1. On the activation screen click Other ways to activate.
   2. Choose Manual activation.
   3. Send the activation key and the MathID shown on screen to Smadar.shatz@biu.ac.il.
   4. Wait for a reply and try again.
