Installing on a university computer, and a personal licence for your home machine.

  1. On a university computer — Windows

    1. Open the Programs network drive (how to reach the server).
    2. Open the Matlab folder and pick the version you want.
    3. Choose your operating system and run install.bat.
    4. Installation takes 20–30 minutes.

  2. On a university computer — Linux

    Once the server is mounted at /mnt/biu:

    bash /mnt/biu/Matlab/<version>/linux/install.sh

  3. Licence for your home computer

    The personal licence is issued by MathWorks against your Bar-Ilan email address. These three documents cover the whole process:

  4. Registration or installation problems

    The university licensing team handles these directly: licensing.support@biu.ac.il.

    The licence expires yearly — Use the third document above to renew — no need to reinstall.
