Microsoft 365 on your own computer

  1. Sign in to Bar-Ilan mail

    Go to outlook.office365.com and sign in with your Bar-Ilan account (username and password).

  2. Open the app launcher

    In the top corner of the screen, next to the Outlook title, click the nine dots — that is the app launcher. It sits on the left in an English interface and on the right in a Hebrew one.

  3. Go to the apps page

    In the list that opens, click More apps. The full Microsoft 365 apps page opens.

    Shortcut — You can jump straight to m365.cloud.microsoft/apps — it is the very same page.

  4. Download the suite

    In the top corner of the apps page click Install apps, then choose Microsoft 365 apps from the menu. The download starts right away.

  5. Install and activate

    • Windows — OfficeSetup.exe lands in your Downloads folder. Open it and answer Yes to the User Account Control prompt.
    • macOS — Microsoft Office installer.pkg downloads. Double-click it and click Continue through the wizard.

    Installation takes a few minutes and asks for no product key. When it is done, open Word and sign in with the same account — the licence activates automatically.

    Five devices at a time — You may install the suite on all your devices and stay signed in on five of them at once, phones and tablets included.
