Mathematica For Windows
  1. Go to “Programs” in physics server by double click on this pc / my computer.
    Note*: if you can’t see Programs network drive you can take a look here.
  2. double click on Mathematica folder.
  3. double click on Mathematica version you want.
  4. choose your operating system.
  5. double click on “install“.
  6. Press on the “start” buttonĀ .
  7. Type “mathematica” and click on the result.
  8. Enter the full license key.
    Note*: if you don’t have the key, you can ask your professor.

Mathematica For Linux
  1. Open terminal (command line).
  2. access physics server to Programs folder.
  3. Navigate to Mathematica/versionNumber/linux.
  4. Type bash ./Install –target /tmp/tempMathematica.
  5. Click “enter” for default installation directory.
  6. Click “enter” again when it ask again for scripts path.
  7. Type Mathematica and enter the license key.
    Note*: if you don’t have the key, you can ask your professor.

License Renewal

You’ll have to ask your professor for a new Mathematica license key every year during December.
If you already have an activation key and you’re getting an error message during the activation:

  1. At the activation screen click on “other ways to activate“.
  2. Click on “manual activation”.
  3. send mail to Smadar.shatz@biu.ac.il, type the activation key + MathID as shown in the manual activation.
  4. wait for a reply and try again.
